Vacancies for Marathi Medium:-

Note:- Out of 352 posts are reserved for Person with Benchmark Disability (PwD), i.e.,

• 8 posts for Blindness and low vision
• 8 posts for Locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy
• 7 Posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen
• 8 posts are reserved for Meritorious sportsmen/Sportspersons

Vacancies for Konkani Medium:-

Note: Out of 38 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwD), i.e.,

• 4 posts for Blindness and low vision
• 4 posts for Locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy

Eligibility Criteria For GSSC:

• Higher Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education/Diploma in Education or its equivalent

OR

• Higher Secondary School Certificate (or its equivalent) with at least 45% and two years Diploma in Elementary Education/Diploma in Education or its equivalent, in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education ( Recognition norms and procedure) Regulations, 2002.

OR

• Higher Secondary School Certificate (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and four years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed)

OR

• Higher Secondary School Certificate (or its equivalent) with at least 45% and two years Diploma in Education Special Education).

OR

• Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed.) with six months Bridge course in Elementary Education (Professional Development Programme for Elementary Teachers-PDPET).

Note:

• Passing certificate in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) as recognised by the Government of Goa in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the purpose.
• Teaching Experience of minimum two years in Primary Schools recognised by the Directorate of Education.
• Knowledge of Konkani.

Age Limit :

• Candidate not exceeding 45 years
• Relaxable for Government Servants up to five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Government from time to time.

Age Relaxation For Goa Staff Selection Commission:

• 5 years for SC/ST,
• 3 years for OBC and
• 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
• PwD from SC/ST category are entitled for 15 years of age relaxation and
• PwD from OBC category are entitled for 13 years of age relaxation and
• Ex-servicemen shall be entitled for age relaxation as per Rules in force.

Mode of Selection for GSSC Recruitment:

• The selection process consists of Computer Based Test & a Class Demonstration

Syllabus and Scheme of Examination GSSC Recruitment:

Syllabus CBT – I of Marathi Medium:-

• Time: 75 Mins

Syllabus CBT – II of Marathi Medium:-

• Time: 100 Mins

Syllabus CBT – I of Konkani Medium of GSSC Recruitment:-

• Time: 75 Mins

Syllabus CBT – II of Konkani Medium:-

• Time: 100 Mins

Note:

• The candidates belonging to PwD category will be allowed Compensatory time of 25 minutes in CBT examination having 60 marks and 35 minutes having 80 marks in addition.
• Passing of Test of Konkani language is mandatory for deciding the merit. In case of the post at Marathi Medium, out of 10 marks for Test of Konkani language, 04 marks is the minimum passing and in case of post at Konkani Medium, out of 20 marks for the test of Konkani language, 08 marks is minimum passing.
• The Commission will shortlist three and half (3.5) times the number of posts in each category/ sub-category for CBT II based on the merit of the CBT I.

The minimum passing marks for the Computer-Based Test shall be as follows:

• Candidates belonging to Unreserved categories – 45%
• Candidates belonging to reserved categories:
• OBC/PwD – 40%
• SC/ST – 35%
