Mode of Selection for Delhi High Court Recruitment:
- Eligible candidates will be required to appear for Preliminary Examination (CBT Objective Type), Main (Descriptive) Examination, English Typing Test and Interview.
Stage – I:- (Total Time – 120 Minutes)
The Preliminary Examination, having 120 Questions in total, would consist of the following three (3) parts:-
- English Language & Comprehension (45 Questions = 45 Marks)
- General Awareness / Knowledge and Current Affairs / Events (45 Questions = 45 Marks)
- General Intelligence, Reasoning Ability & Numerical/ Arithmetic Ability (30 Questions = 30 Marks)
Stage – II:- (Total time – 120 minutes)
Main (Descriptive) Examination of the English language would consist of two parts:-
- Part ‘ A’: Essay (250 words = 40 Marks) & Letter (10 Marks); and
- Part ‘B: Grammar (30 Marks) & Translation (25 words = 20 Marks).
Stage – III (Qualifying Stage):-
- A typing test of 10 minutes will be conducted on a computer.
- Candidates must type at a minimum speed of 35 words per minute (WPM) in English.
- Typing speed will be calculated based on “characters with spaces”.
- A maximum of 3% mistakes of the total words typed is allowed.
- The number of mistakes will be rounded off as follows:
- From 0.01 to 0.49 → rounded to 0.5
- From 0.51 to 0.99 → rounded to 1
- Candidates who qualify in Stage III (English Typing Test) will be called for Stage IV (Interview).
Stage – IV:- Interview
- The Maximum marks for the interview would be 15 marks and there will be no minimum qualifying marks in the interview
