Eligibility Criteria for ICMR Recruitment 2026:
- Scientist-B (Non-Medical): – Masters from a recognised university in the subject related to Biomedical Sciences.
- Scientist-B (Non-Medical- IT/Computer Science): – ME/M. Tech (Computer Science)/MCA or 4 years B.E.or B. Tech or B.Sc. (Engineering) (Computer Science/IT) with Ph.D. from a recognised University in a subject related to IT/Computer Science.
- Scientist- B (Non-Medical- Pharmacology): – Masters from a recognised university in Pharmacy (Pharmacology).

Mode of Selection for ICMR Recruitment Vacancy:
The Medium of Written/CBT Examination will be English only.
- Stage-I:
Written/CBT Examination
- 100 questions will be asked in the field/discipline of Research Methodology (Basics), Basic Biostatistics, Validity & reliability of diagnostic & screening tests, Bioethics, Communicable Diseases, Non-Communicable Diseases, Reproductive & Child Nutrition, Logical reasoning, General Knowledge & English language aptitude. Qualifying Criteria:
- Candidates obtaining 50% or more marks in CBT/Written (Stage-I) will be treated as qualified for Stage-II i.e. Interview. However, the cut-offs marks for SC/ST/PwBD will be 45%.
Stage -II: Interview:
- Interview will be conducted by ICMR, New Delhi. Final scrutiny of document will be done at the time of document verification by ICMR, New Delhi.
- The total number of candidates eligible to be called for the interview will be five (5) times the number of posts advertised in various categories (UR/EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PWBD) based on merit in Stage-I.
